Currently, the AT Division is using Umbra to modernize and further develop the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s (NIOSH) Mine Emergency Response Interactive Training Simulation (MERITS) system. This project will enable MERITS to simulate a variety of accidents, rescue operations, and interact with other simulations being developed at NIOSH.
